Our History

CharityHowTo was born out of a simple idea: Help nonprofits raise more money without requiring a huge time or financial commitment. CharityHowTo was founded in 1999 and initially its primary focus was helping nonprofits leverage the Internet and technology. CharityHowTo has since evolved based on customer feedback and glowing reviews of our live nonprofit webinars and now we offer all topics to help nonprofit professionals excel at their job, their career, and create a bigger impact for the causes they care about.

Our Founder

Kurt Steiner, the founder of CharityHowTo.com, has been helping to start and establish Internet companies since1997 and has helped thousands of nonprofit organizations online since 2003. Kurt helped to open and establish Firstgiving (www.firstgiving.com). As Vice President of Sales, Kurt played an integral role in the company, and during his time at the company it raised over $100 million dollars online for charity.
