During This Nonprofit Workshop, You Will Create:
Grant funders are accountable to their stakeholders for the results they drive with their grant dollars. As a grant seeker, your job is to make a compelling case for why your solution to a community problem is one they should support for maximum impact. Communicating why your program drives the change your community wants to see is a key element of the story you tell in your grant narrative. Using program design tools such as the logic model to develop a blueprint for telling the story of your impact can facilitate a competitive case for support.
Logic models support design, planning, communication, evaluation, and learning. Regardless of whether an application to a grantmaker requires a logic model as an attachment or embedded within the narrative, having a logic model developed and agreed upon by your colleagues makes your grant seeking efforts more consistent across all applications and, ultimately, more competitive.
In this live, interactive workshop, we will guide you through creating a program design blueprint (a logic model) that you can use to write all of your grants, whether foundation or government. We will look at specific successful examples to provide you with a variety of ways to present your organization’s programs and projects, and their impact, in a clear and concise logic model.
