Interactive Workshop: Creating & Building Your Blueprint for All Grant Applications
Workshop

Introducing our latest addition: an interactive workshop designed to help you create and build your roadmap for all grant applications!

Workshop Date & Time:

October 16th, 2024: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, ET

This Workshop is Perfect for you if:

  • You have been a grant writer/grant professional for 1 year or more;
  • You are looking to improve your grant writing skills to further your career;
  • You have participated in at least one grant writing course, webinar, or training;
  • You have never prepared a logic model and need help to get started;
  • You work with a team and need to reach a consensus toward an effective logic model; or
  • You are looking to promote/ implement logic model-driven work into your grant writing processes.

During This Nonprofit Workshop, You Will Create:

Grant funders are accountable to their stakeholders for the results they drive with their grant dollars. As a grant seeker, your job is to make a compelling case for why your solution to a community problem is one they should support for maximum impact. Communicating why your program drives the change your community wants to see is a key element of the story you tell in your grant narrative. Using program design tools such as the logic model to develop a blueprint for telling the story of your impact can facilitate a competitive case for support.

Logic models support design, planning, communication, evaluation, and learning. Regardless of whether an application to a grantmaker requires a logic model as an attachment or embedded within the narrative, having a logic model developed and agreed upon by your colleagues makes your grant seeking efforts more consistent across all applications and, ultimately, more competitive.

In this live, interactive workshop, we will guide you through creating a program design blueprint (a logic model) that you can use to write all of your grants, whether foundation or government. We will look at specific successful examples to provide you with a variety of ways to present your organization’s programs and projects, and their impact, in a clear and concise logic model.

During This Nonprofit Workshop, You Will Learn:

  • How to create a needs statement;
  • How to determine what change you intend to create;
  • How to gain confidence in developing your logic model;
  • How to work with a team to develop your logic model;
  • How to use your logic model to guide your ability to effect change;
  • How to understand goals and objectives within a logic model;
  • How to adapt your logic model into specific grantmaker forms and narrative responses; and
  • How to identify and avoid common errors in program logic models.

During This Nonprofit Workshop, You Will Encouraged To:

  • Actively participate in workshop sessions and exercises;
  • Get feedback from your colleagues on your blueprint drafts and update your draft(s) during the exercise;
  • Ask for feedback from your workshop presenters during the workshop and exercises; and
  • If you cannot attend the entire live session, you will still receive the recording and bonus materials, but we strongly advise that you attend the entire workshop to get the intended outcome
