Every year, nonprofits lose as many donors—and dollars—through attrition as they gain in new support.  In a crisis, these attrition numbers get even higher. Join us for this interactive webinar where you will learn how to steward your donors, especially during a crisis. Over the 90 minutes, you’ll learn the steps to take to lower attrition rates and get your donors to stick with you through thick and thin.

Janet Levine is considered to be Los Angeles’s “go to” person for fundraising training and coaching.  For over 30 years, she has helped nonprofits to raise millions of dollars by focusing on stewardship. She attributes her successes to her philosophy that fundraising starts with gratitude and in this webinar, you’ll learn how to make that philosophy work for you.

Janet is specifically qualified to teach this webinar because:

  1. She has practiced what she preaches about stewardship for over 30 years
  2. Spent 20 years in the field, first as a front-line fundraiser, ultimately becoming Vice President of Advancement for a public university
  3. Since 2007, has been consulting and helping nonprofits use stewardship to strengthen their fundraising programs
  4. She is a sought-after trainer and presenter who is known for providing participants with concrete, actionable solutions
  5. Author of the Nonprofit Library Ebooks-- Step by Step Stewardship and Fundraising in a Time of Crisis and five other titles.

During This Nonprofit Webinar You Will Learn:

  • How to increase overall donor retention during a crisis and beyond
  • How to create an “attitude of gratitude” especially during hard times at your nonprofit
  • How to keep your donors close—even when you can’t physically get close to them
  • How to ensure that bigger gifts provide your donors with the legacy they desire
  • How to create meaningful stewardship plans
  • How to utilize forward-looking stewardship to begin the donor’s journey to their follow-on gift

You’ll Get These BONUS Materials:

  1. Template for Creating an Overall Stewardship Program
  2. Guidelines for developing individual stewardship steps for larger donors
  3. Training tools for creating a stewardship committee of your board or volunteers
  4. Sample Gift Agreement
  5. The Webinar Slides

What Attendees Said about This Nonprofit Webinar:

“Today's webinar showed me ways to make small steps to encourage stewardship outreach by board members. As the co-president, I find myself writing all the thank you notes just to be sure the job gets done. Today, I've learned the importance of involving the board with this task so they can be vested in the importance of fundraising as well as donor retention. Also, being in touch with donors regularly and letting them know how their donations are being used shows them their support is worth it.”

About Your Topic Expert:

In 1988, after almost 15 years working in sales and marketing for the graphic arts and financial services sectors, Janet Levine fell into nonprofit work and found her passion. Starting as a Director of Development at USC’s (now) Viterbi School of Engineering, Janet spent the next 20 years working in Advancement at a variety of organizations in ever increasing roles of responsibility.  While jobs changed, her commitment to stewardship for all aspects of community outreach remained and grew.  Just prior to starting Janet Levine Consulting in 2007, Janet was Vice President for University Advancement at Cal State Dominguez Hills. Stewardship has also helped build her consulting practice:  of great pride is the number of nonprofits who hire Janet for additional assignments, and the number of leaders she has worked with who hire Janet as they move to other organizations.

Janet’s consulting centers on providing staff and volunteers with the tools needed to build organizational capacity.  Whether working to increase your fundraising effectiveness, inspiring your board, staff members, and other volunteers to tap into their talents, or helping nonprofits to thrive via rigorous and realistic strategic planning, Janet’s style of collaboration and education is focused on taking nonprofits from mired to inspired.
