How To Create a Case for Support

Use this session to help you create a case for support that will help you raise more money. A case for support can be used when writing fundraising appeals, grant applications, or embarking on a capital campaign. Do the work and you will have a document that will help you demonstrate the needs of your clientele in your community, how your organization’s programs impact that need, and the results you achieve. This session includes action steps, templates, samples, and instructions on how to engage your board.

This content is a work-style session that provides a short video explanation and materials to help you actively work through this topic.

In this session you will learn:

  • How to write a case for support for a real donor with an emotional appeal for why the project matters and convey the impact a prospective donor can make through participation.
  • How to use the case for support wording to develop your campaign website, major gift proposals, campaign brochures, stewardship documents, and other collateral.
